I've heard that before, but never worried because I don't use those things as clues. Lots of people already know my mum's maiden name so that would be silly. (Esp as it's really easy to remember - Taylor).

I hope other people are being similarly cautious though, it wouldn't surprise me at all if that's why these games were invented. Someone told me years ago that those emails you have to forward to 10 people are just a way of collecting email addresses for spam, so I never do those. They're usually scammy, if not outright spammy anyway...
